About the Opportunity
The Occupational Therapy Department is seeking an experienced clinician to join our Acute Services Team at Campbelltown Hospital as part of our weekend service. The Level 3 Senior Occupational Therapist will work within the acute team to provide clinical expertise in the management of acute care patients across the acute wards providing chronic and complex care to a variety of patient caseloads; including general medical and aged care.
This position suits someone with a strong understanding of patient flow and a passion to think strategically around managing demand and long length of stay patients. This position will work alongside the senior team to provide leadership and governance to acute care services, as well as providing clinical support and supervision to Level ½ OT’s and AHA’s. This role encompasses a strong multi-disciplinary focus to ensure positive patient outcomes and deliver high quality Occupational Therapy services.

Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region.
Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged-care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.

- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services within in acute care
- Demonstrated experience in the identification of evidence based practice and/or development of treatment protocols
- 4.Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring of staff and/or students
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
