  1. Diploma or Degree of Applied Science in Medical Radiation Science (Nuclear Medicine Nuclear Medicine or equivalent qualifications with extensive experience as an accredited Nuclear Medicine Scientist. Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) for Medical Radiation Practitioner registration in Nuclear Medicine Practice. Possess or eligible for NSW EPA radioactive substance licence S14 for use of radioactive substances for nuclear medicine technology, IA16 for use in computed tomography radiation apparatus for nuclear medicine technology, IA16D use computed tomography radiation apparatus for diagnostic radiography and nuclear medicine technology, IA27 for use of radiation apparatus (dexa) for BMA or BCA. 
  2. Experience in management duties including planning, managing and monitoring the department to ensure the appropriate functioning of the department and hospital administration skills.
  3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and have experience in policy and procedure development and implementation.
  4. Ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility in managing a busy work environment
  5. Demonstrated leadership and good communication skills in department management with experience in OH&S management including manual handling and risk assessments
  6. Possesses an understanding of hospital and departmental administration, and a working knowledge of purchasing requirements.
  7. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise high workloads including clinical productivity.
  8. Experience in the training & supervision of students, Trainee Medical Radiation Scientists & staff.
