Selection Criteria:
- Successful Completion of HIMAA Clinical Coding Advanced qualifications, currency of qualifications within last 2 years and evidence of coding proficiency in ICD-10-AM, with a minimum of 2 years coding experience across a range of DRGs.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Casemix, Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs), and Activity Based Funding (ABF) principles and an understanding of coding data quality initiatives.
- Completed Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment OR an understanding of the requirements of the course and a commitment to complete the course.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of health information systems using clinical coding software, and the use of MS Office, specifically with Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities to meet conflicting deadlines with minimal supervision to achieve effective outcomes.
- Evidence of a current, unrestricted class C driver’s licence. Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays as required
