Midwifery Sign-on Bonus
A Lump Sum sign-on bonus of up to $20,000* for 2nd year midwives and above moving from work in an NSW MM1 and MM2 location, or midwives moving from interstate.

Rural Workforce Incentive Scheme
If you do not meet the above criteria you may be eligible for RHWIS Incentives of up to $10,000*.

South East Regional Hospital (SERH) has commenced a Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) and is recruiting midwives to work across their full scope of practice with women and babies on the beautiful southern NSW coast. Community clinics, exceptional birthing baths, and a collaborative multi-disciplinary team with a common ethos of woman centered care awaits. The SERH MGP team has opportunities for registered midwives at all stages of their career and provides a supportive program for early career midwives working in caseload midwifery.

What you'll be doing
Selection Criteria
- Current registration with the with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife.
- Demonstrated evidence of clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills in midwifery care.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and ability to practice and influence others within a professional and ethical framework that reflects the values of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within an overall team environment with commitment to ongoing professional development of self and others.
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical research, quality improvement and procedure development and implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate legislation that relates to the position.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills as well as demonstrated computer literacy skills.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015
All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
