Selection Criteria

  1. Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience of paediatrics and child development, and an understanding of screening tools and assessments used with young children including experience with care planning/case management.
  3. Experience in the ability to design, develop and evaluate professional education, with qualifications in adult education or a willingness to obtain.
  4. Evidence of excellent negotiation, decision making and advisory skills including abilities to effectively build and maintain professional relationships and interact collaboratively with stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication skills including the proficient use of health based technology, or willingness to learn.
  6. Demonstrated effective time management skills, ability to prioritise and to work with minimal supervision.
  7. Excellent clinical reasoning skills and teaching skills and demonstrated ability to provide senior level of supervision to staff and students.
  8. Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
