Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Anaesthesia. The primary purpose of the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Anaesthesia is to provide high quality clinical services in Anaesthesia, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Anaesthetics Department and Hospital as required. The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an environment which supports education, research and professional development
This is a Visiting Medical officer position in Anaesthesia in a Level 6 Adult Hospital caring for high acuity and complexity patients. The Visiting Medical Officer will be part of a cohesive anaesthetic team who provides specialist anaesthetic services to a broad range of specialities. This will involve collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure clinical services provided are safe and achieve optimal patient outcomes. Depending on the skills and experience there may be an opportunity to participate in the cardiothoracic anaesthetic service. The Visiting Medical Officer may also be credentialed to provide anaesthesia services to the Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Professor Marie Bashir Centre and Sydney Dental Hospital.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
