About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The Vascular Sonographer is responsible for providing a comprehensive quaternary level specialist vascular diagnostic ultrasound service. The sonographer will work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the provision of accurate diagnostic ultrasound study results and appropriate recommendations for both initial and further vascular diagnostic procedures and management. The role entails exclusive time for research and education development.

Ideal Candidate

  • ASAR vascular accredited sonographer.
  • Holds a Bachelor of Medication Radiation Science and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or,
  • Has membership with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR); current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years full-time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
  • Currently holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
