Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Endocrinology! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Endocrinology, Obesity and Eating Disorders, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Endocrinology Department and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist in Endocrinology (Obesity and Eating Disorders) will have extensive experience in the management/care of those with obesity and eating disorders and to have extensive research experience in these areas. They will have experience in development of services and in clinical administration and service planning to be able to lead in the development of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Obesity and Eating Disorders Service for SLHD.
The Staff Specialist in Endocrinology (Obesity and Eating Disorders) will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Endocrinology and General Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
