Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Clinical Genetics! The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Clinical Genetics is to provide high quality diagnostic, consultative, procedural and on-call specialty services in Clinical Genetics, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Institute of Precision Medicine & Bioinformatics (IPM&B) and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist in Clinical Genetics will provide excellent clinical genetics diagnosis and management to inpatients and outpatients within the Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) – particularly Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) and Concord Repatriation General Hospital (CRGH). The Clinical Genetics Service (CGS) is currently involved in a number of specialty clinics, primarily servicing RPAH; a tertiary hospital with strong university links. The Staff Specialist in Clinical Genetics will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Clinical Genetics and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
