What will your day look like?

You will work as a clinical specialist within a given modality area i.e. Ultrasound - General and/or Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Perform organ imaging examinations and be responsible for the production and archiving of diagnostic images of a high quality in accordance with established standards ensuring radiographic and professional standards are optimised and examinations are completed within expected time-frames.
This position will maintain the efficient workflow whilst working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patients are provided a timely service.

    

Our ideal candidate has...

  • Medical Radiation Scientist (Radiographer Level 3, Grade 3) must possess; Degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent, Post Graduate Diploma in Ultrasound, Registered with Australian Sonographer’s Association Registry (ASAR), NSW EPA Radiation Licence and Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 
  • Cardiac Technologist Grade 2 must possess; Degree in Science, Applied Science or qualifications or competencies deemed equivalent, Post Graduate Degree in Sonography or qualifications or competencies deemed equivalent, Registered with Australian Sonographer’s Association Registry (ASAR). 
  • Knowledge of computer literacy with Microsoft applications, Radiology Information (RIS), PACS and Hospital information Systems.

About working for SLHD

This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2023_022)

 

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).​

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
