Remuneration: $2,081.21 - $2,148.65 per week + annual leave loading + 11.5% Superannuation

Your role will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. As you may have seen our show RPA on Australian National TV, it is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. This is an opportunity for a Temporary Full time Social Worker to join the Women and Children’s Babies team assisting with assessment, case management, counselling, safety planning and discharge planning in Maternity and Paediatric inpatient and outpatient units.

Ideal candidate
- Currently holds a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Recent employment within a Hospital or health setting.
- Must have a minimum of four years Social Work practice experience since graduation for the application to be considered.
- Must conduct complex psychosocial assessments for inpatients and some outpatients.
- Must work as a team member within a multidisciplinary team and respect SLHD CORE values.
- Must conduct effective and timely discharge planning which includes referrals to other services and organisations.
- Provide supportive counselling regarding the adjustment to illness and or disability and the impact of pregnancy and pregnancy loss.
- Must participate in the After-Hours roster and present to the Hospital within an hour of being called.
