About the Role
Professor Marie Bashir Centre Camperdown was opened in 2014 and has been designed to be a place of healing and recovery. The centre is integrated with community mental health services to ensure people can get back to work, school, family and friends as soon as possible. The centre is a warm and calm environment with murals, a peaceful garden and colourful common areas for patients and their visitors.
This team provides specialist assessment and interventions supporting the management of behaviours of concern within the inpatient mental health setting, with specific focus on the high dependency units.
The role also involves providing education, training and consultation on the use of sensory interventions and other therapeutic approaches for the MDTs. The role involves working a rotating shift pattern that cover days, evenings and weekends

Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor or post graduate degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation and current NSW Driver’s Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
