We are looking for a motivated and highly experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to join a dynamic community mental health team and provide mentoring and support best practice for Allied Health Clinicians working within this service.
The Senior Community Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing advanced evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team and coordinating consumers’ recovery plans. The senior role is also responsible for complex clinical decision making, supervision and consultancy to colleagues, Community Managed Organisations, GPs and our community. The role will include clinical lead in orientation, induction and mentorship of new clinical staff.

Ideal Candidate
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Social work, or post graduate qualification in Psychology (with Area or Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology) and extensive specialist experience including a minimum 3 years experience in mental health. Full AHPRA registration (OT) or eligibility for membership to AASW, and current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in the comprehensive assessment and management of complex mental health consumers in the community, including assessment, complex care coordination, and discharge planning.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in innovative evidence based practice, experience implementing evidence based practices into service planning and evaluation of service changes.
- Demonstrated comprehensive experience working across community mental health, and experience in ensuring integrated care and effective partnerships with GPs and non-governmental organisations.
