Selection Criteria
- Must hold a Bachelor degree in Social Work or equivalent that provides eligibility for full membership of AASW with experience at Level 2 or higher and Holds a current NSW Driver’s Licence (P2 Acceptable).
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge of mental health issues; advanced level skills and experience in assessment and counselling for trauma, grief and loss, and the provision of Social Work services to clients with complex co-morbidities.
- Demonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
- Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex individual and family clinical presentations in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated experience and skills in program evaluation and quality improvement
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of staff and students.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands and have Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder engagement.
- Availability for participation in the Social Work Department After Hours Roster and capacity to be at the hospital within an hour of being called in.
