The ideal candidate will have...

 

  • Experience working as a statistician/data-analyst in a health research/medical academic environment and working with administrative health data-sets and data-linkage projects.
  • Excellent working knowledge in statistical programming and high level expertise in carrying out complex data-analyses using SAS and/or STATA.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques, such as generalized linear models, Cox regression survival analyses, mixed models, competing risks survival analyses, negative binomial regression, as well as more standard techniques such as Kaplan-Meier, relative survival and calculation of age-sex standardised rates and indirect and direct standardisation.
