Selection Criteria
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence (P2 licence acceptable).
- Extensive experience working in a hospital, community or public health setting.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise individual work plans, and to work semi-autonomously.
- Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated capacity to communicate confidently and independently with senior health professionals and members of the public.
- Outstanding verbal communication skills and telephone manner, especially in dealing with sensitive matters. Outstanding written communication skills.
- Excellent word processing skills and experience using databases.
- Knowledge of the role of public health units in communicable disease control in NSW and of the role of public health nurses in the public health unit.
