About the Role
Sydney Education is the education and training service for Sydney Local Health District (SLHD). Sydney Education offers over 300 courses per year and has a comprehensive range of both clinical and non-clinical courses and programs using technology to improve access to professional development and to provide high fidelity learning environments. We are a delivery site of the NSW Health RTO which means that we can offer our staff Nationally recognised qualifications.
Sydney Education is the education and training service for SLHD. Sydney Education provides a wide range of development opportunities to both the clinical and non-clinical workforce of the District. Some broad portfolios of the service include:

The Program Manager, Clinical Practice and Safety, provides leadership across Sydney Education by the management, development and implementation of sustainable strategies that support efficient and effective delivery of high-quality education and efficient use of resources. This includes the management of the Clinical Practice and Safety team members and education activities delivered by this portfolio.
Sydney Education is also a major delivery site of the NSW Health RTO and provide a wide range of nationally recognised vocational education and training programs and qualifications.

Ideal Candidate
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife. Post registration nursing/midwifery clinical or education qualifications relevant to the clinical area in which the employee is appointed or qualifications or experience deemed equivalent by the employer, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to undertake the qualification.
- Ability to identify and harness opportunities for innovation and collaboration on education and training issues resulting in demonstrable outcomes.
- Previous experience in management including skills in workplace coaching, mentoring and supervision supported by a relevant tertiary qualification and/or work experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking and problem-solving skills including the ability to develop timely and constructive solutions.
