Selection Criteria
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with patients, relatives, and all levels of staff.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service focus and ability to work positively and effectively as part of a team to motivate others.
  • Self-starting, initiative, and ability to be creative and innovative in the achievement of objectives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health care financial systems and processes and sound computer skills such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Demonstrated analytical and organisational skills and the ability to maintain high work standards under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting performance targets with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of the provisions of the Australian Health care Agreement and Medicare and a good working knowledge of the health insurance industry.
