Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a Post Graduate Fellow to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!
We are looking for a Post Graduate Fellow in Interventional Radiology! The primary purpose of the role of the Post Graduate Fellow in Interventional Radiology is to provide program of additional training to develop subspecialty interests in Interventional Radiology, and to further develop core clinical skills required in this area. The Post Graduate Fellow will have completed advanced training to become a specialist medical practitioner in Radiology.
The Post Graduate Fellow will provide high quality clinical care, diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Interventional Radiology at the level of a Post Graduate Fellow, and participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Radiology Department and RPA Hospital as required. They will ensure high standards of professional performance and contribute to an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The Post Graduate Fellow will work as part of the Interventional Radiology team in the RPA Department of Radiology, providing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including in patient triage and workup, facilitating patient flow and liaising with diagnostic services. In addition to this, the Post Graduate Fellow will perform routine Interventional Radiology studies and assist with on call Interventional Radiology studies under the supervision of a specialist Radiologist.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award. (Note: Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship prior to, or within three months of the expected commencement date, may be considered.)
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
