About the Role
    
rpaVirtual is a personalised service for people in our community - a new way of caring.  
 
Staff at the rpaVirtual care centre are available to connect with patients and their carers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. rpaVirtual uses technology to build on the legacy of our staff providing excellent patient and family centred care in our community.  
 
The Patient Registration Officer will provide a high level of administrative support to the statewide Urgent Care Service (known as virtualADULTS) in rpavirtual. virtualADULTS operates extended hours, seven days a week.  
 
The virtualADULTS service delivers virtual urgent care across metropolitan Sydney, including Sydney, Northern Sydney, South Eastern Sydney, South Western Sydney, Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health Districts, as well as St Vincent’s Health Network and the regional Illawarra Shoalhaven and Central Coast Local Health Districts.  
 
This position is responsible for all administrative functions related to the day-to-day running of the virtualADULTS service, specifically patient registration, patient information and records management, administrative data entry in the electronic medical record and data reconciliation.

Ideal Candidate
  • Has qualifications in Health Administration and/or proven experience in providing high level administrative support with experience in clinical services preferred. 
  • Has proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when working with a range of computer systems and administrative processes. 
  • Has strong organisational skills with the ability to independently multitask and prioritise work demands to meet deadlines and KPIs in a pressured, busy and demanding environment. 
  • Has the ability to work weekend and evening shifts as part of a rotating roster and willingness to consider urgent requests for coverage to support service functioning.
