Nurse Practitioner (TNP/NP) Pain Management Services RPAH

Selection Criteria

• Authorised to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the NSW Nurses & Midwifery Registration Board or working towards such a qualification. If transitional, 7 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 5 years full time equivalent clinical experience in the specialty of the Nurse Practitioner role.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate sound reasoning behind clinical, diagnostic and prescribing decisions that are informed by evidence based practice and made within a nursing context
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
• Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical and reflective thinking, complex reasoning and analysis to guide assessments, clinical judgements and decisions whilst managing complete episodes of patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in a clinical leadership role evidenced by participation in practice development activities including mentoring and education.
• Contributes to relevant Communities of practice, policy development, research and quality improvement.
