WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Customer Service Liaison Officer (CSLO) is pivotal to the Local Health District's strategy to raise additional revenue from patients electing to use their Private Health Insurance. The position is responsible for developing effective relationships with key stakeholders and providing customer focused information in relation to their financial options. This position is part of the Finance and Revenue Department.
 
The position provides patients and staff with support in regards to patient election choices, maximise patient fee revenue, and ensures admitted patient financial records are complete and compliant with the National Healthcare Agreement, NSW Health and LHD policies and procedures.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experience in a revenue, finance or similar position in a hospital setting, with demonstrated ability to meet revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and customer service experience including a high level advocacy and negotiation skills, with the ability to deal sensitively and professionally with patients, their families, other staff and stakeholders involved in the financial case management process.
  • Ability to work a 7 day rotating shift across the hours of operation, including public holidays.
