We are seeking Cultural Support Workers fluent in Bengali, Fijian, Greek, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Nepali, Pijin, Portuguese, Rohingya, Tagalog, Thai, Tongan, Samoan, Vietnamese or Urdu!

  

About the Opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for providing cultural and linguistic input to the work of the Cultural Support Program (CSP). Cultural Support Workers (CSW) work with health services, community organisations and respective culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities assisting in community education and engagement initiatives as well as multilingual resource review and development; multicultural media campaigns; research support and strengthening links to CALD community networks.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bilingual/bicultural (i.e. fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: Bengali, Fijian, Greek, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Nepali, Pijin, Portuguese, Rohingya, Tagalog, Thai, Tongan, Samoan, Vietnamese or Urdu.
  • Experience and/or qualifications in a health or welfare or community services area.
