About the Role
Sydney Local Health District has a long and proud history of delivering care in the community including prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment, health maintenance and continuing care services designed to improve and support the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. You will be based at Croydon Health Centre with free onsite parking.
The Croydon Core Team runs a DBT program for eligible consumers of the service. This position provides opportunities to develop groups for consumers and/or participate in research with Individual supervision within MHS and a supportive environment with plenty of opportunity for growth.
The “Community Mental Health Team” (Core Team) is the mainstay of the community mental health system. Core Teams and provide a range of clinical services including intake, assessment, consultation, treatment and care coordination. Care coordination is the main component of this model of care and includes extended care coordination, targeted packages of care and short term care coordination.
Consumers under the care of Core Teams will either have:
- Short term interventions and may be discharged or referred back to their GPs or other treatment providers after a period of weeks or months
- A period of treatment as recommended by evidence based practices.
- Ongoing care and monitoring for prolonged periods
Ideal Candidate
- Recognised tertiary qualifications as a Clinical Psychologist including full AHPHA registration.
- Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
