In Sydney Local Health District our vision is Excellence in health and healthcare for all. You will be working in an innovative district that celebrates and invests in the ideas of staff, values people and offers life-long careers. Join the team at one of the leading public health organisations in Australia!

About the role
You will be working at Canterbury Hospital. Canterbury Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community, focused on patient and family-centred care. Since opening in 1929 our hospital continues to grow to meet the changing needs of our community and incorporate new models of care.

The Osteoarthritis Chronic Care Program (OACCP) is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary management program for Osteoarthritis of the hip and/or knee. It is structured around a quality framework that is person-centred, collaborative and evidence-based and which targets improvements in pain, function and quality of life for the individual living with this chronic disease.

The NSW Model of care for Osteoporotic Re-fracture Prevention (ORP) aims to support evidenced-based care for the prevention of re-fracture in people sustaining minimal trauma fractures and presenting to NSW health services in public or private care settings. It outlines the implementation of appropriate care that is consistent with current guidelines and has been shown to be effective in reducing the risk of re-fracture and improving the management of osteoporosis within the Australian context. The primary purpose of this role is to provide a high quality Dietetic service to patients/clients and carers in order to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for patients/clients of the OACCP, the ORP service and other services as required.

This will include providing nutrition care, education, counselling and nutrition support to outpatients in the

OACCP/ORP clinics and active involvement in quality assurance and service development activities within the department. Level 2 staff may be involved in clinical supervision of more junior staff and students. Staff may be required to assist service delivery across various settings at the discretion of line management. Exercise professional judgement in line with years of experience.
