About the Role
Concord Repatriation General Hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.
The Biomedical Engineering Technician will provide equipment maintenance and technical support function under limited supervision. Working with a small team in a dedicated area, the Technician will carry out acceptance testing, calibration, maintenance, repair, development, education, documentation and other technical support services with regard to the medical technology to both Concord Hospital and Canterbury Hospital. Equipment maintained can include both medical and scientific instrumentation and can be electromechanical, mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic in operation.
This position will participate in an on-call roster and rotate, supporting various teams and facilities within Sydney Local Health District based on the assignment from management.

Ideal Candidate
- Possess an Associate Diploma in Electronics (or other qualification judged equivalent).
- Experience in repair and maintenance of electronics equipment, electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic layouts as applied to medical and laboratory electronic equipment.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards relating to medical equipment.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency. New Zealand citizens are considered to have a permanent resident status for the purposes of employment with NSW Health.
