About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
    
The purpose of this position is to support cleaning performance and ensure compliance with NSW Ministry of Health cleaning policy requirements and standards through the facility cleaning audit program. This includes overseeing mandatory and specialised staff training and competency assessment, undertaking environmental cleaning audits and developing rectification plans, monitoring and escalating non-compliance.This position is also responsible for maintaining the required skills and training to function as both an Internal and External (as required) Environmental Cleaning auditor.

Ideal Candidate
  • Relevant healthcare experience or relevant large scale cleaning industry experience.
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of cleaning standards and NSW Health Environmental Audit requirements.
  • Demonstrated communication, numeracy and analytical skills required to conduct audits and produce audit reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop/implement quality initiatives and evaluate compliance and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and train staff and exercise appropriate escalation.
