About the Role
You will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
The Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgical Program (AGISP) comprises of four highly specialised surgical services. These include Pelvic Exenteration, Peritonectomy, Advanced Upper GI Malignancy and Pelvic & Retroperitoneal Sarcoma. The program also collaborates closely with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Colorectal Surgery.
Each of these services deliver highly specialised and complex surgical care. At the forefront of these services are the multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings which provide a pivotal platform for referrals, clinical discussion, surgical planning and education. The AGISP MDT Coordinator role is essential to the efficient and effective management of the MDT meetings. This position will be responsible for the coordination of six highly specialised MDT meetings and will be required to engage with MDT members from a variety of disciplines to ensure timely service delivery.
This position will be working Monday to Friday.

Ideal Candidate
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant professional experience in a medical or clinical hospital setting.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible, positive and collaborative approach.
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to complete a variety of competing tasks and prioritise workloads.
- Experience in coordinating large MDTs preferable.
