Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in healthcare? The Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital is Australia’s largest and busiest hospital, and its Neurology Department is the largest public neurology clinic in the country. As part of the wider Neurosciences Clinic, the RPA Neurology Department provides vital services to patients across New South Wales. We're looking for a dedicated and motivated Administration Officer to support our dynamic team in this fast-paced, patient-facing role.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent administrative support to the Neurology Clinic and its clinicians.
  • Manage critical workflows such as referrals, bookings, and billing.
  • Handle multiple competing priorities in a busy environment, managing patient and clinician requests efficiently.
  • Work closely with patients, clinicians, and administration staff to maintain strong, professional relationships.
  • Maintain a calm demeanour, sense of humour, and flexibility to handle unexpected challenges with ease.
  • Manage sensitive patient data with the utmost confidentiality and awareness of privacy policies.
  • Adapt to new technology platforms used by RPA and NSW Health, with proficiency in O365 being vital.

  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle tasks with attention to detail.
  • Stamina, flexibility, and a proactive, "can-do" attitude that can thrive in a high-demand environment.
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and professional approach.
  • Experience handling sensitive patient data and an understanding of its confidentiality requirements.
  • A team player who can also work independently and ask for help when needed.
  • Full working rights within Australia.
