Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer in Urology to join our team at Canterbury Hospital!


We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Urology. The primary purpose of the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Urology is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Urology and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Urology Department and Hospital as required.
 
The Visiting Medical Officer will also participate in the on-call roster for Urology at Canterbury Hospital and work collegially with Urology colleagues to ensure junior medical staff are appropriately supervised and mentored.

 
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
  
The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with recognised qualifications in Urology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
  
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
