About the Role
  
Concord Repatriation General Hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.

This position has been created to support the implementation of the Sydney Local Health District Active Healthcare Dementia Framework and Roadmap 2024 – 2030. The Research Officer will work closely with the Sydney Local Health District Dementia Implementation Lead and use implementation science to evaluate the effectiveness of the Framework rollout across the District.

  • The Research Officer is an integral member of the research team with responsibilities to assist with, planning, implementation, coordination, data management and reporting of research projects conducted within the unit.
  • The Research Officer will have responsibilities across multiple projects at any given time across diverse areas. This will include assisting in the development and implementation of research protocols, ethics submission, project management, patient recruitment, data collection, data analysis and report writing.
  • The Research Officer will utilise their knowledge of clinical and health services research in the establishment and maintenance of productive working relationships with internal and external collaborators, departments and staff.

Ideal Candidate

  • Health related degree and/or experience in research, clinical trials or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting research in a health service environment.
  • Excellent skills in quantitative or qualitative clinical / public health / health services research, including database management and basic statistical analysis skills.
