About the Role
Population Health works to protect and promote the health of the local population. We recognise that many personal, local and global factors affect health and illness. Our services work with partners to deliver a comprehensive range of high quality, evidence-based health programs to the population living in Sydney Local Health District. Ultimately, Population Health strives to achieve equity of health status and health service utilisation across the population.
The primary role of this position is to develop, implement and evaluate a range of health promotion programs focusing on key health issues impacting priority established, new and emerging culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in the Sydney Local Health District.
This position will work across a range of projects targeting priority CALD communities to improve access to services and reduce inequalities in health outcomes, in line with local, state and national strategies.
The position is part of a multidisciplinary team and will work in partnership with relevant stakeholder agencies to achieve improved health outcomes for priority CALD communities in the district.

Ideal Candidate
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area and equivalent work experience.
- Experience of planning, implementing, and evaluating health promotion/community development projects.
- Good understanding of the health issues and barriers faced by culturally and linguistically diverse communities when accessing health care services.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
