About the Role

Balmain Hospital is a community-based healthcare facility that has been caring for local people since 1885. It is dedicated to Aged Care, Rehabilitation and General Practice. Balmain Hospital is committed to providing the highest standards of healthcare to meet individual needs.


The Health and Security Assistant (HASA) works as part of a team, in collaboration with other staff, to assist with the provision of high quality security services and health assistant services (i.e. patient transfers, cleaning, stores management). This position will be based at Balmain Hospital.

Ideal Candidate

    

  • NSW Class 1A Security License compliant with the NSW Security Industry Act 1997 and the Security Industry Regulation 2007, current NSW Driver’s Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) and current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to comply with Infection Control principles, Work Health and Safety Principles and safe Manual Handling Practices.
