About the Role

Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.

  

The primary purpose of the role is to provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to Vascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery Heads of Departments and other support staff, and ensure the efficient running of the services through coordination and provision of administrative and clerical function.

Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers internally and externally both verbally and in writing.
  • Has experience with computers and software packages, eg Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.  
  • Possesses experience in medical terminology or a relevant certification.
