About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
The Communication Officer is an integral member of the Communication team and is responsible for driving internal and external communication initiatives.
You will be responsible for developing communication strategies, supporting Sydney Local Health District events in line with strategic plans and in collaboration with key stakeholders, and for contributing ideas and content that effectively communicate the District’s key messages and tell the stories of the District’s staff, patients, services and research.

Ideal Candidate
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications or equivalent proven experience in corporate communication, public relations, journalism or related field.
- Organisational skills with a proven ability to organise events and to work under pressure with competing deadlines.
- Writing and editing skills and proven experience in delivering high quality, targeted corporate publications from concept through to publication.
- Skills in the use of Office 365 products, database management, other publishing skills and a working knowledge of EDM platforms and social media.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
