About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides advanced nursing knowledge, skills, and abilities for individualised, coordinated care and manage caseload of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients and other Neuro immunology patients with complex needs within the ambulatory and acute settings.
Coordinate the daily management of patients receiving therapies such as Intravenous infusions (IVIG) and ensuring care is planned and delivered in partnership with clinicians, patients, and their families. The successful applicant would need to be able to effectively triage patients in the case of clinical relapse, support patient understanding of different medical therapeutic options, and develop, implement, and evaluate case management plans for patients with complex care needs.
Demonstrate an ability to educate and manage patients with new diagnosis and available disease modifying therapies.
There may also be a need for skills in the use of clinical databases and participation in clinical trials.

Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
