Selection Criteria
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in social work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or other qualification deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated clinical experience and understanding of domestic violence, trauma and risks including the ability to articulate a structural analysis of domestic violence.
- Demonstrated high level experience and skills in assessment and provision of therapeutic interventions including counselling and group work for women and their children who have experienced domestic violence and trauma including the ability to articulate trauma informed evidence based care and practice.
- Demonstrated high level experience and skills in the assessment of and response to child protection issues, including advocacy for children’s best interests.
- Knowledge of the NSW Ministry of Health Domestic Violence Policy and Procedures for Identifying and Responding to Domestic Violence.
- Experience in the development and delivery of group work professional education, training and community development.
- Experience in project coordination including planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
- Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills.
