The position is responsible for supporting the department in a range of administrative functions, such as, answering general enquiries, updating patient information, referral processing, scheduling appointments, transcription and any other tasks associated with the service. 

Our ideal candidate will have a customer service focus and a commitment to helping others.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.

A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.

In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.

Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

  1. Excellent organisational and time management skills including attention to detail, ability to prioritise workloads while meeting strict deadlines to ensure service delivery
  2. Experience in responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response
  3. Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  4. Ability to improve to contribute to improvements in administrative practices and procedures
  5. Ability to use computer hardware, software applications and electronic systems at a basic level
  6. Demonstrated ability to work independently in performing routine administrative tasks and ability to work as part of team.
  7. Previous experience in an administrative role providing a range of front-line reception, administrative and clerical support services.
