Selection Criteria
- Accredited through Exercise Sports Science, Australia.
- Demonstrated clinical experience as an accredited exercise physiologist, with consumers with mental illness.
- Demonstrated ability to work under minimal direct professional supervision and exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to consumers with mental illness, carers, mental health service staff and other associated persons/services.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and professional development.
- Capacity to develop and deliver exercise and lifestyle education and training to a range of professionals including mental health clinicians and GPs.
