What you'll be doing
The Executive Assistant to the General Manager, Prince of Wales Hospital & Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospitals is responsible for ensuring the efficient and professional functioning of the Executive Unit. The position provides first line contact with external and internal stakeholders wishing to access the General Manager, and therefore carries significant responsibility in respect to relationship building and customer service. The Executive Assistant will demonstrate good understanding and experience in managing an Executive Unit where confidentiality and timeliness is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in providing high calibre administrative support to senior executive in a large and complex organisation.
- Proven ability to problem solve, prioritise workload with competing demands and ability to anticipate and meet the needs of the General Manager.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including demonstrated high level competence in preparing reports and complex correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to perform a range of management and administrative tasks, monitoring and managing work priorities to enable adjustments to workflow as required while working independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Senior Management, staff and other stakeholders
- Ability to handle controversial and emotive issues/information confidently and confidentiality
- High level information technology and systems skills, including records management and reporting processes, office systems, word processing and spreadsheet packages
