Selection Criteria

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a minimum of 5 years full time post graduate qualification experience and a post graduate qualification in field of practice or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation. Clinical Psychologists require full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to progress towards same), along with a minimum two-year full-time APAC accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology. Professional, educational qualifications in either Exercise Physiology (eligible for membership of APA), Dietetics, Social Work (eligible for membership of AASW) or Occupational Therapy (Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Professionals (State) Award) and full registration with AHPRA, (eligible for membership of AAOT-NSW).
  2. Extensive clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of Eating Disorders for both adults and children/adolescents
  3. Ability to demonstrate evidence based knowledge related to eating disorders in adult and/or child/adolescent populations.
  4. Proven ability to provide high level clinical advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence
  5. Ability to work within and lead a multi-disciplinary team and to apply independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a complex nature.
  6. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
  7. Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
  8. Current NSW Drivers Licence – Class C unrestricted.
