An exciting opportunity exists within South Eastern Sydney Local health District for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our professional multi-sited, multi-disciplinary Oral Health team!
Where you'll be working
Population and Community Health (PaCH) is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
PaCH provides community health services that give care to individuals, families and carers, as well as population health services that focus on the whole community or key groups within the community.
PaCH's services are provided at the District's hospitals, community-based facilities including child and family health centres, community health centres and specialist clinics. We work with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including hospitals and mental health services.
The Role
Provide clinical support and assist with the efficient delivery of a high quality oral Health service to eligible clients in South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.

Selection Criteria
- Successful completion of a nationally recognised Dental Assisting Certificate course at Certificate Level IV, or qualifications deemed by the Ministry to be equivalent.
- Experience as a Dental Assistant in public oral health.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current infection control principles and practices.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes within SESLHD.
