- Demonstrated experience in maintenance of large building complexes and facility maintenance / hospitals and able to work as part of a team in a busy work environment.
- Demonstrated ability working with minimal supervision with experience in working with power tools and wood cutting machinery including Safe Work Practices (SWP).
- Demonstrated experience with gyprock wall repairs from report, prep ready to paint with experience in carrying out carpentry and joinery works to a high finishing standard. Able to demonstrate good organisational and time management skills. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Carpentry Trade qualification relevant to this position, preferably : Cert III or IV in Carpentry & Joinery / Wall & Ceiling Lining / Fibrous Plastering & Plaster board)
- Current NSW Driver's License (Class C) and participate in an on-call roster and be available for after-hours and call backs.
- A current Occupational Health and Safety General Induction for Construction in NSW Certificate with a demonstrated understanding and commitment to Work, Health and Safety.
- Proven ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of trade, non-trade and contract staff in accordance with the Ministry of Health Code of Conduct and in a manner conducive with the harmonious and efficient team delivery of maintenance services in a modern health facility.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills with willingness to learn computerized Building Management Systems. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and computing systems to complete work.
