- Completion of clinical and academic requirements of at least the first year of Bachelor of Midwifery and currently enrolled in the programme with clinical placement within the South East Area Health District
- Understanding of Women Centred Care and Family Centred Care
- Ability to work as a team member of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the BFHI principles
- Ability to work within the scope of practice of an AIM
