REQ577426 – MRI Senior Radiographer - Clinical (Medical Radiation Scientist) Level 4 Grade 2 – Permanent Full Time
Applications are invited for a permanent full-time Level 4 Grade 2 MRI Senior Radiographer (Clinical) position at the Prince of Wales Hospital Medical Imaging Department, part of the Randwick Health and Innovation Precinct.
This campus is one of the largest in Australia, affiliated with the University of NSW, and is a major tertiary referral centre catering to both paediatric and adult populations.
With the opening of the new Acute Services Building at the Prince of Wales Hospital in 2023 and the partnership with the University of New South Wales, MRI services are provided in three sperate locations across the Campus.
- 2 Siemens Avanto 1.5T in Campus Centre
- 1 Siemens VIDA 3T in POWH Acute Service Building
- 1 Siemens VIDA 3T shared with the University of NSW in the RINSW research facility
Clinical services Operating hours:
- Monday to Friday: 07:30 to 22:00
- Saturday and Sunday: 08:30 to 16:30
Successful applicants will:
Be responsible for the Campus MRI service operations and coordination across three sites, participating in the MRI roster, and ensuring optimisation of MRI service quality and standards.
Applicants should possess a strong knowledge of MRI physics and have demonstrated experience in education, training and evaluation of MRI radiographers in a clinical environment. They should possess experience in advanced MRI techniques.
Selection Criteria:- Possession of AHPRA Medical Radiation Practitioner registration
- Possession of post graduate master’s in medical Imaging (major Magnetic Resonance Imaging) by recognised university and completion of minimum 5 years post graduate experience in adult, paediatric and neonatal MRI services.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change
- Demonstrate experience in development and implementation of MRI techniques and imaging protocols in a major teaching hospital
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of medical imaging workflow in major teaching hospital, with a sound understanding of information technology to manage effective workflow in multiple MR locations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary working environment.
- Demonstrated experience in MRI business management and facility redevelopment to optimise MRI business development
- Demonstrated experience in MRI safety management framework and processes, particularly experience in the role of MRI safety expert within a hospital setting
