- A minimum of bachelor’s degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Orthotic and Prosthetic Association.
- Extensive post graduate orthotic experience. Advanced skills in all aspects of orthotic assessment and treatment for disability related orthotic care and evidence-based intervention/orthotic prescription.
- Recognised source of expert knowledge in orthotic provision, functioning as a clinical consultant with demonstrated advanced clinical reasoning skills and sound understanding of NDIA systems and requirements.
- Capacity to provide support and education to orthotic clinicians, students, technicians, and support staff.
- Documented involvement in planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on services including development of clinical innovations and initiatives.
- Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to develop patient resources in appropriate plain language.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
