  1. A minimum of bachelor’s degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Orthotic and Prosthetic Association.
  2. Extensive post graduate orthotic experience. Advanced skills in all aspects of orthotic assessment and treatment for disability related orthotic care and evidence-based intervention/orthotic prescription.
  3. Recognised source of expert knowledge in orthotic provision, functioning as a clinical consultant with demonstrated advanced clinical reasoning skills and sound understanding of NDIA systems and requirements.
  4. Capacity to provide support and education to orthotic clinicians, students, technicians, and support staff.
  5. Documented involvement in planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on services including development of clinical innovations and initiatives.
  6. Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to develop patient resources in appropriate plain language.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
