What you will be doing

This is an exciting opportunity to join the nursing education team to support staff delivery of high quality paediatric care. The successful applicant will have a passion for education and advanced skills in nursing.
Working across the hospital, you will have opportunity to hone your education and leadership skills by assisting with the development of the casual nursing staff.

The The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of clinical education programs. The CNE will work in collaboration with the Network Nurse Education Manager, Nurse Manager of Staffing, Nurse Manager Mental Health Nursing Unit Managers and the Nursing Education team to deliver competent nursing education.

The CNE will work in collaboration with education’s stakeholders to support staff across the facility. Key to this support will be provision of Violence Prevention Management (VPM) training to identified SCHN nursing staff and ongoing education for staff caring for mental health patients outside of the designated mental health unit. Training and support for VPM will be provided.
