Bachelor's degree relevant to medical science with evidence of relevant excellent achievement academically or equivalent scientific/technical experience in molecular biology and/or cancer research. Applicants with relevant honour's degrees or currently completing honour's degrees are encouraged to apply.

Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following: molecular assays such as DNA purification, PCR and NGS, proteomics, cell-based assays involving mammalian cell tissue culture, multi-parameter flow cytometry. Experience with data analysis and statistical packages desirable.

Demonstrated practical experience in laboratory bench work in a regulated or research environment.

Demonstrated high level of organisation and meticulous record-keeping skills.

Evidence of efficient time management and multi-tasking with a demonstrated capacity to monitor work flows and prioritise tasks.

A sound understanding of data confidentiality and principles of ethical research practice.

Evidence for a high standard of communication skills and demonstrated ability working effectively both independently and within dynamic research teams.

Computer literacy, database management and excellent analytical skills.

A COVID-19 Vaccine Medical Contraindication form must be completed by a GP or Medical Practitioner.
An exemption to the Public Health Order requirements will only be considered if you are unable, due to a medical contraindication, to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Please note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
