What you'll be doing
This position is for a Nursing Research Assistant/Administrative Officer with sound administrative skills who will assist the Nursing Research Unit with the implementation of ongoing and new research projects conducted in the SCHN Nursing Research Unit (NRU). 

The Nursing Research Assistant/Administrative Officer provides support for the Unit to drive and develop nursing research capability and capacity.
  1. Demonstrated relevant administrative experience supporting a busy multidisciplinary team through proficient with functions of Microsoft software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  2. Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to provide comprehensive administrative support for research projects, ability to undertake and collate literature searches with direction from senior research staff
  3. Demonstrated effective collaboration skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills including secretarial functions and minute-taking.
  4. Willingness to learn new skills with regards to the research process, such as software programs, IT technology to enhance the efficiency of the work of the NRU.
  5. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn the internal rostering system and processes to ensure quality record keeping of staff’s day to day attendance and leave
  6. Demonstrated capacity to function effectively as part of a team as well as the ability to work on allocated tasks with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines whilst exercising appropriate judgement in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues and documents at all times.
  7. Willingness and flexibility to undertake any other administrative or support functions at short notice when requested by relevant managers, to assist in maintaining the smooth running of the Department.
