Seeking an qualified Orthoptist Level 1 to join our dedicated Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick team 16 hours per week


What you'll be doing

Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) is committed to improving the care provided to our patients in line with our vision of Working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.
Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality orthoptic care to patients of the Orthoptic Department consistent with (SCHN) policies, procedures and standards.
  1. Effective communication skills.

  2. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  3. Effective customer service skills in an administrative environment.

  4. Ability to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.

  5. Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.

  6. Good computer skills with experience using MS Office programs.

Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination is required for all NSW Health staff in line with the recent NSW Government Public Health (COVID-19 Vaccination of Health Care Workers) Order 2021 (including any amendments):

  • Applicants are required to provide evidence of their  first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and confirmation of booking for second dose prior to 30th November 2021

  • From 30th November  2021 onwards, all applicants to provide evidence of first and second dose of a COVID-19 vaccination

 

If you have a medical reason and cannot be vaccinated:

A COVID-19 Vaccine Medical Contraindication form must be completed by a GP or Medical Practitioner.

An exemption to the Public Health Order requirements will only be considered if you are unable, due to a medical contraindication, to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

 

Please note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
